Active Member
To be an ACTIVE MEMBER one must be a full time uniformed employee of the NYS Courts who is of Germanic heritage as defined under "HERITAGE" at the bottom of this page.


Associate Member
An ASSOCIATE MEMBER is any Civil Servant who is or is not of Germanic ancestry, or any member of any branch of the US armed forces. Or any employee of any other civil service whose title does not currently have an association of its own. This membership type is also open to those who have been laid-off from permanent employment in the NYS court system, who prior to lay-off were Active members in good standing of this organization. ASSOCIATE members are privileged to the same rights and benefits as Active members less the ability to hold any elected position within the organization.


Honorary Member
Anyone who by their actions has furthered this association in its realizing its objectives, at the discretion of the executive board may be granted this type of membership. Honorary members hold no voting privileges, may not hold any elected position or attend any meeting unless invited by the President for purposes beneficial to the association.


Lifetime
Any current member who for reasons beneficial to the association is granted by the Board of Directors permanent exemption from paying dues.

Retired

Any Person who is retired from any position within the Courts system. Retired members hold the same rights as Associate members less the ability to vote on administrative issues.

Heritage

 For the purpose of this organization "Germanic" means of German, Austrian, Swiss or any other German speaking nation.
